Known to ABC-TV's Insiders viewers for his regular “Talking Pictures” segment, Mike spent 14 years in Canberra’s parliamentary press gallery, shooting for The Australian, The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, BRW, Time and The Daily Telegraph. He has covered five Federal election campaigns (and counting), numerous Prime Ministerial trips, and conflicts in Cambodia, Kosovo, Bougainville, PNG and the Middle East. He is a past winner of the Nikon-Press Photographer of the Year award for Photographic Essay and Portraiture and was chief photographer for The Sydney Morning Herald until late 2008.
