Well done, explains why I liked this site straight away, after trying several others.

I hope Mike Seccombe is awarded a prize. He is a clear thinking journalist who actually understands the big picture, a rare talent nowadays. His choice of subject is of relevance as a result. His writing is always a joy to read. I always feel have been truthfully informed when I ready Mr Seccombe's columns. He and George Megalogenis are the best journalists in Australia.

I agree re Mike Seccombe. He said everything for me in his piece "Abbott v Rudd: the choice Australia deserves?" on 26 June. So clear, so punchy, he gave voice to the views of myself and many others - favourable views of the Gillard government which had not been given any space over the previous three years. Forever grateful.

Global Mail far superior to the much anticipated Guardian Australia. TGM journos know how to analyze and write critically and thoughtfully on meaningful topics. Well done.
